Lucasfilm’s ILM Immersive, the creative studio behind Vader Immortal and Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge, has officially revealed the first gameplay for its latest project – Star Wars: Beyond Victory – A Mixed Reality Playset. Designed exclusively for Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S, this groundbreaking title promises to blend the real and virtual worlds in a completely new way.
Set during the timeline of Solo: A Star Wars Story, Beyond Victory follows the story of Volo Bolus, an ambitious podracer mentored by none other than Sebulba – the infamous podracing legend from The Phantom Menace. Players will be able to experience the fast-paced excitement of podracing, interact with holographic Star Wars elements, and bring the galaxy far, far away into their own physical space.
The game is packed with three distinct modes that take full advantage of the Meta Quest 3’s mixed reality features:
Follow a narrative-driven journey as you step into the role of Volo Bolus. Explore his rise through the podracing ranks, with dynamic transitions between virtual and mixed reality environments that place you right inside the Star Wars universe.
Race like never before on a virtual holotable that appears in your own space. This mode delivers the adrenaline rush of high-speed podracing while using your physical environment as the racetrack foundation.
Unlock iconic Star Wars characters, vehicles, and props as virtual collectibles. Use them to create your own scenes and stories right in your room. This mode is perfect for fans who love to explore, build, and roleplay within the Star Wars galaxy.
ILM Immersive aims to push the boundaries of immersive storytelling by merging VR and MR into one seamless experience. Star Wars: Beyond Victory isn’t just another game – it’s an interactive Star Wars playset that evolves with your creativity and environment.
While an official release date and price haven’t been confirmed yet, the game will be launching exclusively on the Meta Quest 3 platform. Fans can expect more updates in the coming months, and anticipation is already building as this could be one of the most innovative Star Wars games to date.
