Into The Radius 2: Early Access Release Date Confirmed for Quest 3 & 3S

The highly anticipated VR survival shooter Into the Radius 2 is officially coming to Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S in early access on May 21, 2025, developer CM Games has confirmed.

Set in the eerie and surreal Pechorsk Security Zone, Into the Radius 2 tasks players with navigating a dangerous world filled with anomalies, enemies, and mystery. Previously launched in Steam Early Access, the game quickly gained a dedicated following for its immersive gameplay, intense survival mechanics, and unique setting. Now, Meta Quest players will get a chance to experience it natively—though with a few caveats.

What's Included in the Quest 3 Version?

While the game is coming to Quest 3 and 3S, it will not have full feature parity with the PC VR version at launch. According to CM Games, the following key features will be missing initially:

  • Pechorsk Outskirts location

  • Distortion Zones

  • Cross-platform multiplayer support

However, the developers have stated that their goal is to bring Quest versions closer to feature parity with future updates.

What Will Be Available at Launch?

Despite the missing features, Into the Radius 2 on Quest 3 will include all core features from the recent ‘Ghost Town’ update, such as:

  • Customizable chest rigs

  • New guns and attachments

  • Proximity voice chat in co-op mode

  • Optimized solo and co-op missions

This ensures that players on Quest 3 will still enjoy a rich and intense survival experience right from day one.

No Quest 2 Support

It’s important to note that Into the Radius 2 will not be released on Quest 2. The developers have confirmed that the older hardware does not meet the performance requirements for a smooth and stable experience

Final Thoughts

With its detailed environments, tense survival mechanics, and engaging co-op gameplay, Into the Radius 2 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting VR titles of 2025. While the Quest version may launch with a few limitations, the core experience remains intact—and updates are already planned.

If you’re a Quest 3 or 3S owner looking for your next immersive shooter, mark your calendar for May 21.

Stay tuned for more updates and hands-on impressions as we get closer to launch.
