Total Chaos Brings Atmospheric Survival Horror To PC With VR Support Post-Launch

Survival horror fans are in for a treat as Total Chaos, a full remake of the acclaimed Doom II total conversion mod, prepares to launch on PC later this year. Developed by Trigger Happy Interactive and published by Apogee Entertainment, this eerie adventure is set to deliver an unforgettable horror experience — and it’s coming with PC VR support after launch.

A Descent Into Fort Oasis

The game takes players deep into the forgotten mining outpost of Fort Oasis, where you step into the boots of a stranded Coast Guardsman. Armed with nothing but improvised weapons and limited supplies, you must fight for survival against terrifying creatures lurking in the shadows. Each corner you explore reveals fragments of the island’s sinister past, pushing you deeper into its chilling mysteries.

From Mod To Full Remake

Originally released in 2018 as a total conversion mod for Doom II, Total Chaos gained attention for its haunting visuals and atmosphere. Running on the GZDoom source port, it stood out as one of the most ambitious mods of its time. Now, the project has evolved into a full-fledged remake, spanning nine chapters packed with horror, exploration, and survival.

VR Support Confirmed

While the remake launches first as a traditional PC game, players won’t have to wait long for an even more immersive experience. PC VR support has been officially confirmed and will be included for free as part of the base game. Although details on what changes we’ll see in the VR edition remain under wraps, fans can expect an even more terrifying descent into the depths of Fort Oasis when the update arrives.
