Temporal Sci-Fi Puzzler UnLoop Arrives on PC VR Next Week

Retro-futuristic puzzler UnLoop is ready to make its way to PC VR in early access next week, bringing its mind-bending time-loop mechanics to a wider audience.

Developed by Superposition NULL and published by CM Games (creators of Into the Radius), UnLoop is a clever sci-fi puzzle game centered around self-cooperation and time manipulation. Set inside a mysterious space station called the Temporal Research Hub, players must work alongside past versions of themselves to retrieve crucial data — literally teaming up with their own past actions.

After successful launches on Quest and Pico, CM Games is taking UnLoop to Steam in early access. This phase will help the team fine-tune the experience, focusing on optimization, player feedback, graphics, and potential PCVR-specific features. Despite the early access label, the PC VR version will include all content currently available on standalone headsets, with a major Version 1.1 update scheduled for December. That update promises new puzzles, improved visuals, and an extended story campaign.

On the hardware side, UnLoop will initially support Meta Quest, Pico, and Valve Index headsets. The developers have also confirmed plans to expand compatibility with more headsets and controllers based on community response.

Our earlier impressions of UnLoop described it as a “clever self-coop experience” that delivers a refreshing twist on time-loop mechanics — though some polish is still needed to make it truly shine. With the Steam release and upcoming updates, the game is well-positioned to evolve into one of the standout puzzle experiences in VR.

If you enjoy time-bending puzzles, strategic planning, and sci-fi environments, UnLoop is definitely one to keep an eye on.

Steam Early Access Release Date: November 13, 2025
