Omega Pilot Evolution Speeds Toward Quest, PS VR2 & Pico Headsets

Omega Pilot Evolution, an adrenaline-pumping futuristic racing game, is set to blast onto VR platforms later this year. Developed by XOCUS, the creators of EXOcars and the original Omega Pilot, this new installment promises even more high-speed action, skill-based gameplay, and fierce competition.

Building upon the foundation of the 2022 release, Omega Pilot Evolution puts players back in the cockpit of sleek, anti-gravity racing ships — but with a major upgrade. Tracks are now designed to push both speed and player reflexes to the absolute limit, offering a test of pure racing precision.

Players can expect multiple game modes, including solo play and both asynchronous and real-time multiplayer. Whether you’re climbing the global leaderboard or challenging your friends, the competition is designed to be fast, fluid, and intense.

But it’s not just about racing. Each match is a full-on combat arena, featuring an arsenal of futuristic weaponry — from energy blasters to EMPs — and defensive tools like shields. As you win races and dominate the competition, you’ll earn in-game currency to upgrade your ship’s performance. That includes tweaking speed, enhancing handling, boosting durability, and unlocking eye-catching customizations.

While there’s still a lot to be revealed — including official gameplay footage — the developers have confirmed platform launches for Meta Quest, Pico, and PlayStation VR2. Notably, there’s no mention yet of a PC VR or Steam version.

Omega Pilot Evolution currently has a targeted release date of November 2025 for PlayStation VR2. Release dates for the other platforms are still under wraps, as their store pages have yet to go live.

With high-octane racing, competitive multiplayer, and weaponized tracks, Omega Pilot Evolution looks ready to become a staple in the VR racing genre. Strap in — the future of speed is coming.
