Meta Ray-Ban ‘Display’ Glasses & HUD Clips Leak Ahead of Connect

Meta’s upcoming HUD smart glasses have leaked ahead of Connect 2025 — and they’ll carry the Ray-Ban branding. A now-removed video from Meta briefly showcased the glasses in action, along with the long-in-development sEMG wristband that controls them.

The video revealed Meta’s full upcoming smart glasses lineup, including:

  • The recently launched Oakley Meta HSTN glasses

  • Standard Ray-Ban Meta glasses

  • Rumored Oakley Meta Sphaera glasses, designed with eye protection and a centered camera

  • The new Ray-Ban “Display” glasses, featuring a monocular heads-up display (HUD) for the right eye

While not true AR, the HUD allows users to access Meta AI and on-foot navigation, while the wristband enables text input by finger-swiping letters on a surface. Reports suggest these glasses will launch at around $800.

The Ray-Ban branding is a key move for Meta. Originally, EssilorLuxottica (owner of Ray-Ban and Oakley) was hesitant due to the bulky design. But after Meta invested €3 billion to acquire a stake in the company, it seems the partnership moved forward. The result is a product that blends Meta’s tech with Ray-Ban’s global retail presence and brand appeal.

At 70 grams, the glasses are heavier than the 50-gram Ray-Ban Meta glasses, but the added functionality makes them one of the most anticipated launches at this year’s Connect. With Ray-Ban’s established style and distribution, Meta’s Display glasses could reach a much wider consumer base than if Meta had gone solo.
