Caveman Studio has rolled out a huge new update for Contractors Showdown: ExfilZone, delivering one of the most significant improvements the game has seen so far. Packed with a brand-new Gunsmith system, visual upgrades, and fresh content across both ExfilZone and the battle royale mode, this patch promises to elevate the experience for players on both Quest and Steam.
Unreal Engine 5 Upgrade
One of the biggest highlights of this update is the shift from Unreal Engine 4 to Unreal Engine 5. This move brings enhanced lighting, sharper textures, and smoother performance across the board, giving both ExfilZone and the battle royale maps a fresh visual polish.
Gunsmith System
The new Gunsmith System is the centerpiece of this update. Players can now mix and match:
- 600 attachments
- 54 lower receivers
- 14 attachment categories
- 100+ shop preset weapons
To make things even more flexible, you can use Auto Mode for recommended builds or go fully hands-on in Manual Mode, saving your own presets. A new vendor has also been introduced, offering weapon parts, and for added style, you can now spray your own patterns onto each weapon.
New Content for ExfilZone
Alongside the Gunsmith, Caveman Studio has released new weapons and introduced the Smuggling Tunnel map — a four-level underground battleground for up to nine players. Described as the studio’s “most complex map yet,” it’s filled with multiple access routes, evacuation points, hidden stashes, and interconnected paths.
The in-game hideout also sees improvements with the addition of a workshop and a fast-buy function for quick access to your favorite items.
Battle Royale Updates
The Battle Royale Mode isn’t left behind. Players will notice several new locations across the map, including:
- Tanker Bar
- Sewage Plant Site
- Car Graveyard
- Forest Villa
- Hunter’s Camp
- Lumber Yard
- Raider Camp
- Checkpoint
In a major change, Trio Mode is now the only way to play, aimed at delivering faster matchmaking. Caveman Studio has also implemented several performance optimizations across the entire map.
