Boxing Underdog officially steps into the ring today in early access on Meta Quest, bringing gritty and immersive combat to VR players who crave intensity. Originally announced in 2023 under the name VRSO: Bare Knuckle Fighting, the game has since undergone a full rebrand and faced multiple delays before finally launching in July 2025.
Not to be confused with the similarly titled UNDERDOGS, which is focused on multiplayer mech brawling, Boxing Underdog carves its own identity in the VR space with a strong focus on bare-knuckle and traditional boxing experiences.
At launch, the game features five gameplay modes, including:
Players will also get to battle it out across four unique venues, all designed with a gritty underground fight club aesthetic.

A companion Steam app for content creators is also expected to launch on July 31, adding more tools for recording and sharing VR boxing content.
Currently, Boxing Underdog is available in early access on Meta Quest for $19.99. While versions for PS VR2 and PC VR are in development, no official release date has been confirmed yet.
