The highly anticipated Besiege VR, a war machine construction sandbox game, is finally making its way to the Meta Quest platform later this month. Originally announced in April by 3R Games—the same studio behind the intense climbing game Cave Crave—this VR adaptation brings a fresh experience to one of the most beloved physics-based building games of the last decade.
First appearing over ten years ago on traditional flatscreen platforms, Besiege quickly earned a reputation for its creative freedom and physics-driven chaos. Now, Besiege VR is being completely rebuilt from the ground up for virtual reality. Players can expect an all-new motion control system, immersive haptic feedback, and 3D audio to make the experience more engaging than ever.
The core gameplay remains true to the original: your goal is to construct medieval siege engines and modern mechanical marvels using over 70 unique parts. Want to build a catapult? Go for it. Prefer creating a towering mech? That’s possible too.
Besiege VR will feature:
However, note that post-launch expansions from the flatscreen version will not be included at launch. The developers haven’t ruled out adding this content in the future, so stay tuned for updates.
Besiege VR launches on July 31 for $20 on the Meta Quest platform. If you love creativity, physics-based challenges, and a touch of chaos, this is a game worth watching.
