Meta Ray-Ban Display Glasses Officially Launched With Meta Neural Band for $800

After months of leaks and speculation, Meta has officially unveiled its first smart glasses with a display — the Meta Ray-Ban Display, priced at $800 and bundled with the Meta Neural Band.

Unlike traditional AR glasses, this is not full augmented reality. Instead, it features a monocular heads-up display (HUD), visible only to your right eye. The HUD offers a 20-degree field of view, 600×600 resolution (42 pixels per degree), and up to 5000 nits brightness, outperforming even Apple Vision Pro in clarity.

Key Features of Meta Ray-Ban Display

1. Meta AI with Visuals

Instead of only hearing answers, you can now see step-by-step instructions and visual outputs directly in your glasses. The Meta Neural Band allows you to navigate with a simple thumb swipe.

2. Messaging & Video Calls

Stay connected hands-free with private message previews and live video calls via WhatsApp and Messenger, showing friends exactly what you see.

3. Camera Preview & Zoom

The built-in viewfinder and zoom make it easy to frame shots and share photos or videos instantly.

4. Pedestrian Navigation

Visual turn-by-turn walking directions appear right in front of you, helping you move around without pulling out your phone.

5. Live Captions & Translation

Break language barriers with real-time captions and translations, displayed directly in your line of sight.

6. Music Playback

See your music card on the display, swipe to change tracks, and even control the volume with a wrist rotation gesture.

Meta Neural Band – A Game Changer in Input Controls

The bundled Meta Neural Band uses surface electromyography (sEMG) to detect wrist muscle activity, allowing precise finger tracking and navigation without cameras. It also supports text input by swiping letters on any flat surface. With 18 hours of battery life and IPX7 water resistance, it’s designed for all-day use.

Specs, Weight & Battery

  • Weight: 69g (bulkier than regular Ray-Ban Meta glasses)

  • Battery Life: Up to 6 hours in typical use

  • Colors & Sizes: Black or Sand, standard or large

  • Lenses: Transitions lenses included (indoor & outdoor)

  • Prescription Support: Ranges from -4 to +4

Availability

The Meta Ray-Ban Display will be available from September 30 at select US retailers including Best Buy, LensCrafters, and Ray-Ban stores. A wider launch in the UK, Canada, France, and Italy is planned for early 2026.

Final Thoughts

Meta’s first display-equipped smart glasses blur the line between wearables and everyday eyewear. With features like AI visuals, navigation, live translation, and its revolutionary Neural Band, the Meta Ray-Ban Display could redefine how we interact with digital information in daily life.
