Mecha Force Gets Full Release on Quest and PC VR

The anime-inspired roguelite Mecha Force has officially launched its full version on Meta Quest, along with a new PC VR port. Developed by Ming Studio, the game originally hit early access back in December, and it’s now rolling out version 1.0 with a ton of new content and improvements.

Taking cues from legendary anime like Shin Getter Robo and Gurren Lagann, Mecha Force throws players into a post-apocalyptic world where alien machines known as Dominators threaten humanity’s survival. You step into the cockpit of KYLIN, a massive steel mech, and take the fight directly to the enemy.

What’s New in Version 1.0?

The early access version only went up to Chapter 2, but the full release takes things further, adding a proper ending and significantly expanding the game’s content. Here’s what’s been added or improved:

  • New Female Protagonist: Players can now choose to play as a female lead.

  • 40 New Equipment Items: Tons of new gear to tweak and optimize your mech build.

  • Stage Rebalancing: Improved difficulty and progression for a smoother gameplay experience.

  • Enhanced Enemy AI: Smarter and more challenging enemies keep the action intense.

  • Synergy System: Loadout combinations now offer bonuses for strategic builds.

  • New Ultimate Skills: Powerful new abilities to turn the tide in battle.

Now Available on Quest and Steam

Mecha Force is now available for $9.99 on both Quest and Steam. A free demo is still live on Quest, so players can try it out before purchasing.

As for the PC version, there’s a bit of confusion — while the game is available on Steam, the store page still lists it as being in early access. That may be outdated info, as it’s not yet clear whether the PC VR version has all the same content as the Quest release. The developers have been contacted for clarification, and updates will follow as soon as more is known.

If you’re into high-energy mech battles, anime-style visuals, and roguelite progression, Mecha Force might just be your next VR obsession.
